King of the Hill is an American animated series created by Mike Judge, who is mostly known for his stint with the MTV series Beavis and Butt-head, and Greg Daniels, former writer of the popular cartoon comedy The Simpsons. The show successfully ran from January 12th, 1997 all the way to September 13th, 2009 on the popular Fox channel. The show in a nutshell focuses on a family with the last name Hill. They live in a fairly small town and live the lives of a reserved Methodist family in Arlen, Texas. The writers and creators did a really good job maintaining a realistic outlook on everyday life and finding humor in the life of normal people. I think that is why the show was so successful in the long run.
