Watch Futurama Online

Hatched from the mind of The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Futurama blasts contemporary culture and science fiction alike with an animated comedy barrage. Hapless NYC pizza guy Philip J. Fry makes a fateful delivery to a cryonics lab on New Year's Eve, 1999 when he's accidentally flash-frozen until the next millennium. Reawakened in 31st century New New York, he finds work at his great-great-etc. grandnephew's Planet Express delivery service. Together with his hedonist robot buddy bender and cyclopsian love interest Leela, Fry travels to the farthest reaches of the universe. Along the way they discover strange alien life forms, velour-clad lotharios, freaky mutants, intergalactic conspiracies and the disembodied heads of celebrities throughout the ages.

Phillip Fry is a 25-year-old pizza delivery boy Who accidentally freezes himself on Dec 31, 1999, he wakes up 1,000 years in the future and has a chance to make a fresh start. He goes to work for the Planet Express , a futuristic delivery service that transports packages to all five quadrants of the universe where he met with Leela and Bender.

The character Cubert (the Professor's clone) was initially conceived as being somebody who would point out all of the show's inconsistencies and plot holes. The idea was that he would be the voice of obsessed fans that paid far too much attention to detail. Unfortunately, the writers couldn't figure out a way to introduce him until Season 2, and aside from his debut episode he never took on his original intended role.

Sharply satiric animation about a man from 1999 who thaws out on the eve of the 31st century. An Emmy-winning work cocreated by Matt Groening (`The Simpsons'), it had a `thaw' of its own, of sorts, after it ended its five-year Fox run, during which time it was too often pre-empted by pro-football overruns. After it left the network, however, the irreverent `Futurama' demonstrated that it still had a future, scoring big in cable reruns and DVD sales.
